Shrouded in a misty cloak of mystery, I instantly was enamored by Miyajima as the island came into view from the ferry. The hike up to Mt. Misen was quite wet and foggy, and despite there being no view visible from the top, the experience was beautiful-- almost sacred. It was so quiet and peaceful. After the hike, I warmed my insides by enjoying some freshly grilled local oysters. Oishii! :)
