Nara, Japan

The plan for Nara was simple. Mochi, and deer. As I walked down the street, the roasty warm smell of kinako wafted towards my way. Ooooh, I was close, wasn't I. The mochi stall came into view, it wasn't as crowded as I expected, and there was a person there cheerfully directing pedestrians/cars through. Lucky for me, the mochi man was due to make another round of mochi, and I saw truly how fast one's arms could move. The mochi? Amazing. The texture was unlike anything I've ever had, soft and delicate yet had a very substantial chewy bite to it. Completely satisfied, I continued the walk to the park, ready to give out some serious deer pats.
