Montpellier, France

23

Montpellier's history is unique in that its roots are not Roman or Greek, unlike many French cities in the South. It's easy to get lost in admiring the architecture and rooftops, which are intricate and fascinating. During the 16th century, a botanic garden was built, and it remains of the France's oldest to date. Although not young it history, it is young in spirit, with 1/3 of its population made up of students.
